Please plan accordingly allowing for plenty of time prior to your event. Traffic in Ottawa around the Canadian Tire Centre is known to be busier than normal at times of evening events.

Tip: On game days or big event days the Palladium Drive North route has less traffic congestion. On these nights you should also allow yourself more time for traffic and parking. You can even buy a prepaid parking pass.

Driving Directions

From Downtown Ottawa

Canadian Tire Centre is a quick 15-minute drive from downtown Ottawa – take Highway 417 (the Queensway) west to the Palladium Drive exit. These 4 lanes arena-specific interchange will bring you right to Canadian Tire Centre’s doors.

From South of Ottawa

If you’re traveling from south of Ottawa, follow Highway 31 or Highway 416 to 417. Proceed west on Highway 417 to the Palladium Drive exit.

From Outaouais Region

From the Outaouais region, take the Portage Bridge across the Ottawa River. Proceed on Wellington Street to Lyon Street, and south on Lyon Street to Highway 417 (the Queensway). Follow the Queensway west to the Palladium Drive exit.

From West of Ottawa

If you are coming from the west, take either Highway 7 (Carleton Place, Smiths Falls, Perth) or Highway 17 (Almonte, Pakenham, Arnprior, Renfrew) to Highway 417 (the Queensway). Follow the Queensway east to the Palladium Drive exit.

There is plenty of parking available at the venue. The rates vary based on lot and event as follows.

NHL GAMES:

  • General parking is in Lots 5, 6 and 9 = $12
  • Lot 4 = $25
  • Lot 1 = $30
  • Valet/Limos = $50
  • Large bus = $50
  • Small bus = $40

*Lots 1, 4 and Valet have a limited number of spots.

CONCERTS:

  • General parking is in Lots 4, 5, 6, 7 and 9 = $15
  • Lot 1 = $35
  • Valet/Limos = $50
  • Large bus = $50
  • Small bus = $40

FAMILY EVENTS

  • General parking is in Lots 4, 5, 6, 7 and 9 = $12
  • Lot 1 = $25
  • Valet/Limos = $50
  • Large bus = $50
