The announcement of Megadeth’s final studio album and final tour took their fans by storm. Now, they are en route to their Canadian Farewell Tour 2026, the first leg of their very last tour as a band, and frontman Dave Mustaine could not be more grateful. He vows that this is truly the band’s last tour, saying, “There’s so many musicians that have come to the end of their career, whether accidental or intentional. Megadeth’s impact on the thrash metal genre and the music industry in general is highlighted by 12 Grammy Award nominations and one Grammy win for Best Metal Performance. Led by guitarist, vocalist, and frontman Dave Mustaine, the band has released sixteen studio albums, with five earning platinum certifications in the US. Mustaine, who was also Metallica’s lead guitarist from 1981 to 1983, is currently joined by fellow bandmates bassist James LoMenzo, drummer Dirk Verbeuren, and guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari. Megadeth’s profound lyricism and songwriting themes have cemented them as a band that talks about relevant topics like religion, politics, and personal relationships, and up to this date, their songs have hundreds of millions of streams on Spotify. Grammy Award-nominated band Anthrax is joining the Canadian leg of Megadeth’s very last tour. They will be performing songs from their 11 studio albums and 26 singles that have allowed them to receive four gold certifications by the RIAA, sell 10 million records all over the globe, and make them a fellow Big Four thrash metal band alongside Megadeth. The band is currently working on their twelfth studio album, making metal music fans more excited to see them on stage again. Exodus

Named as the 25th best metal band of all time, American thrash metal band Exodus is joining Megadeth and Anthrax on this tour, bringing songs from their eleven studio albums, three live albums, and one compilation album. Also part of the Big Eight thrash metal bands, Exodus has sold five million records, and the band has announced that they will also release a new album this year. Grouped with Metallica as one of the first bands in the Bay Area thrash metal scene, Exodus has enjoyed a vibrant music career since its formation in 1979.
